One weekend, I noticed that a friend was out doing fun things every weekend, so I asked, “How do you manage to go somewhere every week? How can you afford it? What about all the stuff you have to do at home?”
We stopped for the night in Port Angeles. What a charming town.
The next day, we drove past the breathtakingly beautiful Lake Crescent, wandered into the Hoh Rain Forest, and quietly tried to not surprise a large herd of grazing elk.
We marveled at the misty, foggy mountains on the left, and oyster farms and resort towns on the right. What a gorgeous area. I made a mental note to check out the resorts for a summer getaway, for some time in the future.
Perhaps these places will inspire you to get out and explore them, or other amazing places, next weekend.
Our gifts of love to each other are amazing experiences instead of material things. No clutter to manage, just fantabulous memories of quality time spent together on our beautiful earth.

Now, weekends start with a quick breakfast, grab the cameras, binoculars, and snacks, and get in the car… then – and only then – do we discover where we’re going!
